Battle for Middle Earth Community Day Writeup

Xiphoid and me getting a game of pool in

At the end of the presentation, Sideshow Collectables gave out 6 of their pieces to us (names picked out of a hat by Aaron); I was lucky enough to get the Fell Beast/Witch King statue which looks pretty damn cool - it's actually sitting on the shelf right above my computer right now. As soon as the pieces were given out, the EA guys presented us with a bunch of goodies: a BFME poster, MoH calendar, 3 free games (of our choice), a film frame collectable...thing from Sideshow, the Return of the King DVD, and probably some other stuff that I'm forgetting.

After we got such a mad stash of goods, the day was over and we said our goodbyes. I stuck around a bit and played a game of pool with Xiphoid, but eventually had to leave. It was a damn fun trip, it was great to meet so many members of the RTS community at once all the while checking out a game of the caliber that Battle for Middle Earth is. I'd like to thank Electronic Arts for putting together such a well-done event, I was impressed.
