In the console
hall, we checked out Star Wars Bounty Hunter for Playstation 2. Using the jetpack
was very kewl but otherwise, from what we saw, it was just a standard first person shooter
type game.

Here's some
shots of the console area at E3. Frankly, I was very disappointed by the consoles
this year. Last time I was at E3 in 1999, the console hall was pretty awesome...
this year, we spent an hour there and then we went back to the main hall. To be
fair, this year, the main hall was showing off a ton of console games that looked
incredible. All the Xbox games were in the main hall and many other publishers had
Xbox, Playstation2 and GameCube games being shown in the main hall. Xbox in
particular has an absolutely amazing number of incredible games coming out in the next
year. If anything this year, I was very impressed with the quality of the Xbox games
coming up.

For anyone who
follows console games, you know that Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1-3 are some of the best selling
games of all time. Tony Hawk 3 was just released on the PC and Tony Hawk 4 is coming
up. Therefore, it was no surprise that Tony Hawk himself made an appearance at E3.
I was a complete geek and waited in line for about an hour to get a handshake and
an autograph from the greatest skateboarder in the world, Tony Hawk.
